Facing the daunting task of marrying our child to a school, we turned to Sally for help. Sally brought a professional consultative approach to the process and helped our son to narrow down a list of schools, any one of which I think he would have been happy with. But it was with the application process that Sally was really able to help. She patiently read iteration after iteration of personal essays, and individual short answer essays for a large number of applications.
She helped our son find his voice, and had a finally honed knowledge, born of years of experience as a college admissions counselor, of what would be well received by the schools. In the home stretch of the application process, our school’s counselors went on vacation and were not available. Sally was there for us, and while our son earned his place, I am sure he would not have looked as good without Sally’s counsel and advice.
Before the holidays are really upon us I wanted to make sure you know how much we all appreciate your help. Your insights and advice were invaluable. We are all thrilled with Harvard and really happy Harry did not have to grind out all the back-up applications last weekend and instead could spend the time visiting his Gramps who lives close by to share the news.
Even across the continents, we had no problems working with you as our child’s college counselor this past fall. My husband and I are not particularly tech-oriented but we emailed or spoke on the phone with you whenever necessary. Harry did almost all the direct communicating and it was very convenient to skype in the evenings for him and the mornings for you. You were very available, always let him know when you could connect most easily and there were absolutely no communication issues.
Your invaluable assistance was not available from his own high school counselor, right down the street. We would recommend working with you without reservation... you are a pleasure to work with.
